By accessing or using recruiteME, creating an account, or connecting third-party services such as Google or Gmail, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
If you use recruiteME on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
recruiteME is a job search and application management platform that helps users discover job listings (with a focus on opportunities in Guyana and nearby markets), build and store career profiles, generate resumes and cover letters with AI assistance, track applications, and send application emails.
recruiteME is a tool for job seekers. We are not an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, or job placement service, and we do not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment outcomes.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. By using recruiteME, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and current.
4. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may sign in with email and password or with Google. If you connect Gmail, you authorize recruiteME to send emails on your behalf only when you initiate an application or related action through the Service.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
- Send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or misleading application emails.
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or employment history in applications sent through the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
- Scrape, copy, or resell job listing data or Service content except as permitted by these Terms.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by circumventing usage limits or credit systems.
- Use the Service in a way that violates applicable law, third-party terms, or the rights of others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or pose a risk to the Service or other users.
6. AI-generated content
recruiteME includes features powered by artificial intelligence, including job search assistance, resume generation, cover letter drafting, and profile suggestions. AI outputs are generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions, or inappropriate content.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all AI-generated content before using it in job applications or sharing it with others. You should not rely on AI outputs as professional, legal, or career advice.
Free-plan users receive a limited number of AI credits each month. Pro subscribers receive expanded access as described on our pricing page. We may change credit allocations, pricing, or feature availability with reasonable notice where required.
7. Gmail integration
Connecting Gmail is optional. If you connect Gmail, you grant recruiteME permission to use the Gmail API solely to send emails that you initiate through the Service. We do not read your inbox or access existing messages.
You remain responsible for the content, recipients, and accuracy of emails sent from your Gmail account through recruiteME. You must comply with Google's terms and applicable anti-spam and communications laws.
If Gmail is not connected, application emails may be sent through our system email provider using the contact details in your profile.
8. Job listings and third-party content
Job listings, descriptions, and employer information displayed in recruiteME may be collected from third-party sources. We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, availability, or legality of third-party listings or external websites linked from the Service.
A listing in recruiteME does not constitute an endorsement of an employer or job opportunity. You should verify job details directly with the employer before applying or sharing personal information.
9. Subscriptions and payments
recruiteME offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Subscription fees, billing cycles, and included features are described at checkout and on our pricing page. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
We may change prices or plan features. Where required, we will provide advance notice before price changes apply to your subscription.
10. Intellectual property
recruiteME and its original content, features, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted.
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service, including profile information, resumes, and cover letters. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide and improve the Service, including transmitting relevant content to AI and email providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions — will continue to apply.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that job listings, AI outputs, or email delivery will be accurate or successful.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, recruiteME AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless recruiteME and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, your job applications, emails sent through the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
Before filing a formal legal claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be brought in the courts located in Guyana, unless applicable law requires a different forum.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate. Your continued use of recruiteME after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
